IRS Payment Posting Issues

We have been experiencing a large number of payment posting problems with IRS! They have been posting taxpayer payments to the WRONG period and the payments end up sitting in the UNPOSTED PAYMENTS register by IRS.
Ultimately you receive a CP14 notice showing a balance due. If you receive such notice and you are sure you made your payment, PLEASE get us a copy of the notice and a copy of the front and back of your cancelled check and we will get a letter issued immediately.
DO NOT PAY THEM TWICE!
